Souderton Area High School (SAHS) held a press conference to inform the press and public about the accomplishments of the Pathway 360 Program. The plans for Pathway 360 were developed beginning in 2005 after it was determined that the new Souderton Area High School would be built. The implementation of the Program began in the 2010-11 school year, when the Class of 2015 was in 9th grade. <br />
The participants in the press conference will include students, the former President of the Indian Valley Chamber of Commerce, Greg McGovern, the SASD Superintendent Frank T. Gallagher, business partner Theresa Hummel-Krallinger, and SAHS staff members.
SAHS recently reached an enormous milestone when students in the Class of 2015 completed their senior project presentations prior to the winter break. The senior project presentation is the capstone experience of Souderton's unique Pathway 360 Program, and the Class of 2015 is the first SAHS class to fully benefit from the Pathway 360 Program.
Pathway 360 defines Souderton Area High School's Program. It provides a unique, comprehensive approach to helping students find their pathway to their future goals. Students choose from one of four Pathways: Industry & Engineering, Business & Communications, Health & Human Services, or Arts & Humanities. The Pathways guide the students in their choices of courses and real life experiences (job shadows and internships) to fulfill their graduation requirements. Students who fulfill the specific requirements, including earning a Distinguished score on their senior project presentation, can earn a Pathways or Scholars Diploma.
